Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is becoming more mainstream as forward-thinking companies embed sustainability into the core of their business operations to create shared value for business and society. While many established, multi-national organizations have fully-staffed Community Relations groups on site, others are left to navigate the non-profit landscape on their own. Often one individual with many other duties to their position takes on the role and has little time or ability to research both within their corporation and the community to determine what goals would best serve their organization.
The LCH Community Engagement Process
The process begins with stakeholder interviews to solicit the valuable input and perspectives of those within your organization – executive leadership, community relations staff and volunteers, board members, and other constituents including current and past non-profit partners. An evaluation of past funding and community engagement efforts will be conducted as well as a thorough assessment of the company’s culture and infrastructure.
From this data, a Community Engagement Plan (CEP) will be created with specific goals and outcomes. Prospective community partner organizations will be identified, vetted and presented to your organization for consideration. All of these pieces support an overall recommended community relations plan that your organization may execute on its own, or retain further services from LCH Consulting to implement.

"(Laura) directly helped me in creating a successful internship both for my company and for the local high school teacher. The end results were beyond my expectations. We mentored a local high school teacher who was a great addition to our team over the summer. This has led to us participating in the local high school class, better brand recognition for my company, and local students engaged with my companies vision. Laura is passionate, dedicated, and fun to work with. I highly recommend her."
